Should you bring kids to a Room To Escape experience? Can they really contribute to the game?
YES and YES!
At Room To Escape, our locks aren’t childproof. We encourage children to get into the game and all our escape experiences are appropriate for ages eight and up. Why?
Kids See Things that Grown-Ups Miss
Children see the world from a different angle – both literally and figuratively. They can crawl under tables, they aren’t afraid to pull things off shelves, and they’re great explorers and detectives. Also, kids tend to have fewer cognitive biases than adults, meaning that kids are often better at seeing things for what they are versus what we expect or prefer.
Kids Benefit from Inclusion
Escape experiences can be a great opportunity to give kids a sense of accomplishment and belonging. These positive outcomes can happen whether or not your team wins. It’s all about inclusion. If you slow down and make the youngest member feel like part of the team, he or she will have a chance to let their talents shine!
